A return to green last night (however slight) delays the dosecrease threatened yesterday. But Boomer.....one slight green every 6 cycles is not acceptable......

Boomer ate all of his +3 and extra fuds (a bit less than normal), some of his +6 and most of his +9.

Allen ate very well last night and left us a lb deposit.

It's rainy here again today And although I don't want the cold temperatures to come, I do wish there would be a frost so that the colours will come out more in the leaves.

Today's photo is another of one of the little Green Herons that were hanging around one of our local ponds this summer. It's been over a week since I've seen any of them so it definitely appears they have left our area.

Still a good start number, down to the lagoon Boomer. I always get a little bummed this tyme of year as the summer birds leave. Yesterday was the first day I did not put out the hummer feeder. Last one I saw was on the 25th. Oh well at least the juncos will be arriving soon

Yup, that's what I'm feeling right now All of my normal backyard birds are still here and will likely over-winter here since they have a food supply. But my walks these days are not resulting in many wildlife photos, that's for sure. I really hate the thought of winter coming.

Not in my case lol I have hated winter my entire life!
It's marginally better since I retired (4 years ago) because, if it's cold and I don't want to go out, I don't.

I took down the Humming bird feeders last week when the weather turned colder. ( Chicago)
Yesterday one little Hummers showed up!
I made a bit of sugar water & hung up the feeder but i think he was gone before i hung it up

Well this morning I told him that one green every 6 cycles wasn't good enough. So today he's trying a wee bit harder.
