10/02 Nelli +10 139 PMPS 136 +2 107 +3 123

Thanks Gill... it’s not me who has daughter- Think maybe you got me mixed up with tacos mom o_O? It’s just me and Nelli, no family and no significant other. Buuuttt... we have the wonderful, wonderful support group of FDMB :bighug::bighug::bighug:.Muah
Sorry:oops:, I was thinking of Taco's mum. I've been visiting both your condos simultaneously the last few days and I got myself into a muddle.
Clearly not enough:coffee: this morning.
With FDBD you and Nelli will never be alone:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Nice blue start, look forward to seeing that +1;)
How's Nelli Feeling? her numbers are looking great.

No worries ;). I knew you were talking about Taco :). I too have been following her. Well I did not get the plus one… Actually thought you were still thinking about Taco? I crashed literally after reading your post. Not feeling too great, think I have worn myself down. Add a mere 4 hour sleep last night... busy work day today. Need to travel today if possible, “ Nelli?”
I don’t think I have ever tested Nelli a plus one? Nelli is not a bouncer ( I don’t think)... I will get a +2 and depending on this possibly a +4. Definitely a +5... this is where she usually nadir.
Nelli is doing very well, thanks for asking. She is getting back into her routine’s, much more energy and actually yesterday she was chasing a little lizard around! I think she thought it was a bird she never chases or plays with lizards :-).

Nice start after last night. I hope Nelli surfs safely today. Congrats on the reducie.
thanks, I too hope she surfs safe today!
I do not understand “they get a reduction (only) when they go below 50?” No reduction (ever?) if they, stay let’s stay, upper greens/low blues? Lookin good :D?!?
I looked at your SS and get further confused about this.
How can Nelli ever get :otj: without dropping into hypo numbers :(?
No sense o_O

:) Great to hear. I love it when they get back to their old behaviors.

Sorry for the confusion, I was thinking of Nelli, I just got the personal stuff muddled, not the kitties.

As last night she was 40 at +2.5, I suspect that if you had got a +1 she would still have been above 50, but lower than the 117, that would have given you the heads up of things to come. George like Nelli usually nadired at around the +5 mark, but he often earned his reductions by dropping early on in the cycle like Nelli did last night. So the +1 became a good indicator for us of how the cycle would likely pan out. Absence of a food bump at +1 or even a drop at +1 had me on high alert.

Not feeling too great, think I have worn myself down. Add a mere 4 hour sleep last night... busy work day today.

It's really tough functioning on not much sleep especially after a night like you had.

Ok, so here is where I go a bit crazier...
Tested +2 read 71- exactly five minutes later 90?
So what is it?

Could be meter variables - sometimes a little higher/lower than the last reading - still in the greens though! How exciting that's she's feeling so much better and chasing critters!! :)

It's also possible she's on the upswing...maybe from food? Test again in an hour if possible and see which way she's headed. Elusive little butterflies - never tell us a thing about what they're going to do or when - hence the testing, testing and more testing...

Those numbers are about the same, given meter variance, you can drive yourself crazy rechecking those numbers, believe me I did.

What we are seeing is a downward trend at +2. of between 30-40pts, she may have just onset (onset usually around +2), so I would say that this looks like an active cycle, I wouldn't be surprised if she heads a bit lower, especially with the depot from the larger dose still being in play I would check again at +3, are you able to do that?
That will tell you a bit more of what she has planned.

Does she usually get a snack around now?

Done

This is going to be an active cycle, though on the surface it doesn't look to be developing like last night, a bit more gentle perhaps.
how long will you be out for?
Have you got an autofeeder so you can leave some snacks out for her to be dispensed at regular intervals?
Will she graze on food if you leave a bowl out for her?
Have you noticed if she looks for food when she is low?

@Gill & George
Out for 2-3 hours-
No auto feeder-
Graze no... eat when put out yes :cat:-
No, does not “ lick lips” which is what she does when she lets me know she’s hungry
Leads me to a question I had last night… First time I fed her when she dropped down to 36, OMG she inhaled the food? Then the second time when I gave her higher carb food she gobbled that up to? What’s up with that?

Since you don't have an autofeeder an option would be to test her just before you head out the door and put down some food.
If it looks like she is surfing along, staying relatively flat you could go with just regular LC, or even some MC (for safety or peace of mind).
If she is dropping into the low 50's, but you need to go then you could give her some high carb in an attempt to nip it in the bud and abort the cycle.

George is the same with food, I got an auto feeder, so on days like these I could dispense regular snacks meals to help bolster his numbers and keep him safe. Since he also looked for food when his numbers dropped I could be sure that he would eat (not all kitties do that)

I’ll stay. Nelli is PRIORITY.
This is my yesterday thread... Marje Just posted on it too?

I didn’t post on yesterday’s thread. The post you saw from me was late last night while I was staying up waiting for you to come back with the next test for Nelli so I could be sure she was ok before I went to bed.

@Gill & George advice to watch out for the depot today is excellent advice and she was spot on.

Confused, sorry.
Regarding falling asleep last night I sincerely apologize. I have not been feeling well immune system is being taxed and I have been unusually tired over past 48 hours :-(
I appreciate your attention very much and will not let this happen again, I promise!

Shes still a way of nadir.

You might want to feed some MC.13%

It's not as early as last night so you could see if that's enough to keep her up.
offered +4 2 teaspoons Merrick Backcountry chicken (gobbled it down last night?) MC 12%... had no interest
She has been awake/up... resting around since 6am :). Never has acted her age!
