Well she ate a little this morning and again a little more at +3, but the rest of the day she's spent behind the TV stand.

I want her to lose weight, but this isn't the way to do it!! China....please eat for your mama!!

I guess if she's not better tomorrow, I should take her back to the vet :(

Now I just need to win the lottery. I HATE this!!

Thanks to all who've been sending vines and saying prayers for my China. I truly appreciate it and love every one of you!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Ugh! Appy issues are the worst. :bighug::bighug:

Please eat sweet China, weight loss has to be slow. No crash diets for kitties.

Has she had any anti nausea meds today? Tried looking on the SS, but my iPad is being temperamental.

I am so sorry little China still doesn’t wanna eat! I know how frustrating it is :( hugs and hope her appetite returns soon ❤️

Oh Chris, I am sooo sorry that China is not eating for you. I am sure you have tried every trick in the book. I second the liver shake and or bone broth.

Poor China. Even though not acting nauseous she still might be. Have you tried Zyrte ? It did seem to help Max. :bighug:

Come on and rally, dear China. Your mamabean needs you to get over that infection and back to enjoying your fuds.
Chris, when Rusty was sick I boiled a whole small chicken for the broth; no other ingredients. He liked it. I don't think Rusty ever really tasted his food because of his chronic sinus congestion, but he tried.

Lots of healing vines this evening for our LagoonMeisterin. Feel better tomorrow, dear girl.

Not sure if any of this will apply, but thought I'd share. I have a 12 year old cat named Ash who has had chronic upper respiratory infections and dental/gum issues for years. My local vet treated each episode with antibiotics, but a few weeks later, she'd be congested and not eating again.

This year we took her to a different vet who wanted to treat her more aggressively. She had us give her 5 days of clindamycin, then she removed almost all of her teeth. We followed with another 10 days of clindamycin. The upper respiratory came back. So now she had us do a long daily course of azithromycin followed by a dose of the same every three days. She said we should continue this treatment for a couple months at least to hopefully beat any resistant strains.

We did this once years ago with another cat and it worked, so I have hope.

Chris are you sure it's a URI?

When BFG had his dental problems earlier this year, we thought it was a URI, he was snorting, sneezing and went off his food(which was worrying, since he is such a foodie) only eating if I made his food into a smoothie and spoon fed him. First vet said it was a virus, Uri, bit it was a oral infection that caused the symptoms. We could see all the infection going from his teeth up into his sinuses in the x-rays they took.

I know China had a dental, but was she given ABs after it? Is it possible she's developed a mouth infection after the procedure? Or that they missed something? Our new vet here gives abs 10 days before and 10 daysdafter routine dentals to avoid infection.

Sending prayers and vines to you and your sweet girl.
