Need advice: PMPS = 113. Stalling

I feel like I have written this exact same post before .... 113 PS (at +11.45). Stalled 30 minutes, and 118 (now at +12.15).

Will stall once more, but those two numbers are the same :(

@Djamila I know we’ve talked about holding the dose as I typically reduce when she throws these PS numbers, but surely this is too low for her usual 1.5 ?

EDIT: We're at the end of our hour window, and she is at 109.

I think it depends on how much you want to/can stay up tonight. It would definitely be a risk to shoot on that number, but you're right, most times you've lowered the dose, she's run high for the cycle. Although on 8/23 it's a good thing you lowered. Are you having a feeling about what to do at all? I think I might go with 1.25u, but even that could give you a long night if she's determined to run low.

I just gave her a skinny 1 unit. I made that decision based on the 1u on 8/23 being too much (on a 114 after stalls) and a 0.75 on 9/1 (on a 112 after stalls) being too little.

I'll check her at +2. Right now, she's just glad she finally got her dinner!

That was a loooooong time to stall! While there are general guidelines and ways of considering data, I'm also a firm believer in mama-sense.

Also, I just really hate it when it's not obvious what to do! :arghh:

Amen to that! We're having one of those nights here too as well. I rarely lower Sam's dose for a low PMPS, but tonight I felt chicken. Hopefully it won't leave him too high in the morning

Yeah, I was actually trying to move her UP 15 minutes due to an early morning meeting. Oh, well.

So the initial 113 was slightly early; we actually shot at 50 minutes past what would have been 12 hours from the AM shot.

And the worst thing is, I love those numbers! How great is a 109?! . . . and for a whole hour at the end of the cycle! . . . except if you have to decide on a dose . . .

I'm sorry to hear about Sam. :( :bighug: Why can't they just make sense?

Well, I suppose the good news is that with the low dose for Josie tonight, odds are good she'll be high enough to shoot early in the morning and get you to your meeting in time!

Yes, it's weird what I consider a silver lining these days! :)

In the meantime, her +2 is 163, which is very good news!

That's pretty good! Are you going to get your usual +4? I'm curious where she goes on the 1u. Don't stay up just for curiosities' sake though!

Sam just gave me a 66, so the reduction doesn't look too bad so far. Still worried about AMPS though since he tends to burn through his insulin pretty fast these days. Yellow used to be one of my favorite colors, but now it just makes me go o_O.

I’m thinking it might have to be a +3.5 at the top of the hour, but I’m going to see how distracted I can get with a novel to get to +4. I do like having the same data points to compare when possible.

With the 66, looks like a good thing your mama-sense was tingling! I haven’t developed that yet ... I get mama-sense confused with plain old nerves! :)
