Pokey break...

The New Balance shoe outlet it right next the a Trader Joe's - I have never been to a Trader Joe's so going to go over there after shoe shopping - Any great things I should look for there? What about any of their cat food?

I would love to do the shopping for you! I love shopping - it's therapeutic and relieves stress for me. Sadly, I can't shop for a while since I will be paying off Frosty's bills for a long time. But just the thought of "shopping" and "shoes" gives me an adrenaline rush. Yes, I know, I need Shopaholics Anonymous...

Also, I LOVE trader joe's! Definitely go. I highly recommend their "Yogurt - Os " cereal. It's the only cereal I eat. Also, they have awesome pizzas in their frozen section - they are small and semi-healthy since they have veggies on them and stuff. At least that's what I tell myself. That's basically what I live off of, hahaha.

I also highly recommend their cinnamon raising bread - it's amazing. You can just eat it plain. I also buy their black bean pasta - it's really good, and has a ton of fiber and protein!

There is no cat food there (as far as I know), but I would definitely browse the isles and look at what they have. It's one of my favorite stores to go to, esp because it's small and I don't usually do my whole week's shopping there, but they do have some stuff that other stores don't. :)

I got a great deal on shoes!! They didn't have the color I wanted but had the same shoe in "last year's model" in the color I wanted, in fact, they had two pair and they were 1/2 price! So I got two pair for the price of one pair!! And they fit like a dream. First pair of New Balance I have bought. I highly recommend them. The stores actually measure and scan your foot to find a good shoe/fit.
 
I agree, Lizzie , on New Bslance ! I have wide feet and they were always the best ! I’ve recently switched to Brooks (New B weren’t in stock) and so far like them as well . Enjoy your new shoes :bighug:

OMG, me tooooooo. I do a lot of online shopping as I hate it soooooo much. My mother and sister got the "shopping gene" they use to go out allllll day and shop. And then the next day, they would "unshop" which meant that they would take back all the things they really didn't want or need or didn't fit. I would just as soon poke myself in the eye than do that!

Gizmo's version of a bounce is very nice indeed!

ETA: I realllly think we are related......
 
@Bobbie And Bubba Omg, I love shopping anyhow - at the mall, online, both at the same time! Lol. I went to LensCrafters today to see if I can get myself a pair of prescription sunglasses bc I got a coupon for my birthday, but decided to hold off until after frosty’s appointment next week. But just being out of the house and trying on sunglasses and talking to the sales rep was fun. It’s a great (but dangerous) hobby LOL.

I’m not much of a returner so even if i don’t like it I keep it. I donate a lot to the veterans every year

Sounds like you got a great deal, Lizzie! I used to wear NB all the time. Right now I have an (overpriced and not all that comfortable) pair I got from Lulu lemon.

I was also a big fan of ASICS for a while - they tend to be cheap if you find them on sale, I think I paid $30 for my last pair. But they’re heavy if you plan on exercising in them. If it’s just for walking, it’s perfect. I use one of them as my OR shoes right now.
 
I have to wear tennis shoes daily. I have plantar fasciitis in the foot of the leg that has the bad swelling from the DVT scared vein. Whenever I start feeling pain in my heel I know it is time for new shoes. I absolutely hate this condition.
