9/13 Grandpa... He's back! AMPS 406

Yesterday

I woke at 2 a.m. with a Grandpa- sized weight upon my shoulder and his handsome face about 2 inches from mine. He let me know in no uncertain terms that he was hungry. He polished off a 3oz can of food before stretching out beside me, putting his paw in mine and going to sleep.

He just demanded breakfast and ate well again so we gave him 1.5u of insulin. We will use a version of SLGS instead of TR and adjust as needed. We are going to take a conservative approach.

Thank you all for the messages, the vines, the friendships. Our old miracle guy loves you all!

Yeah Grandpa ❤️❤️ Yeah Beck ❤️❤️ Don’t know whether to laugh out loud or cry ... so I’ll do both :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Happy Day :):):):):):):):):)

Same here. Do you want to break it to him that chocolate chip cookie cake is not on his diet? I know he'll remind me that it isn't on mine either.

Food seems to trigger his pancreatitis flares
Sometimes it does for Murphy too- especially if he eats a lot at one time. Have you tried digestive enzymes? By supplying the enzymes the pancreas needs to make, they can decrease the work of the pancreas. I think they have been very helpful to Murphy - something to think about
what a glorious morning for you both!!

I'm very interested! What do you use? Is there a specific brand that you like? Thank you!
