Yesterday

I don't really know what to say. Our boy is really sick. We are treating it as a pancreatitis flare and hoping for another turnaround, but the "c" word is always lurking.

We are giving him Cerenia, fluids, B-12, famotidine, buprenorphine, and cyproheptadine. Ketone test negative. We have to syringe feed him because he won't do more than lick at a little gravy.

Poor guy.

He is showing a little more interest in food. We've only been giving Cerenia for now to see how he is feeling without all the pain med, antacid, insulin, etc. He refuses to eat from anything but the can, but I'l take it. I know this will drain the depot and mess up his BG, but we almost lost him. He's not out of the woods yet, but we're going to the basics.
