Tell Olive to leave the sharks to Luci (yeah, right - NOT)...what's she doing going there anyway...Hope she'll stay away now that she's earned a reducie:D...tell her we're thinking of her. Luci finally, yes, FINALLY, made it back to the lagoon today for a bit of surfing:cool:...she's really been reluctant to get back to her surfing lessons - I was worried she'd have to re-learn everything:banghead: - she was taking way too long to get back to the greens...(IMHO)...silly girl...worrying me to death..:banghead::banghead:.

Ooooh...so close there Olive!
May I ask, what is a 90-day fiancee? I understand about the dad thing...my mom too...never happy...never :(

It's a TV reality show. People who meet online, or on vacation claim to fall in love. The U.S. Citizen thinking they are in love usually starts sending them money and paying for the other to come to the US on a visa. When they do they have 90 days to get married. The non U.S. Citizen can not work, they apply for green card.

It's really sad to think that these people believe they have to buy love from another country. Most of the non U.S. people come right out and say the U.S. Citizen can take care of them as they have nothing in their own country, this way they can get a green card and live in the US. One guy owes the bride's family dowry of over $16,000 in livestock and jewelry and he doesn't work and hasn 't for years. A friend has been supporting him and finally the friends wife cut him off, now he has nothing and the poor women is not allowed to work.I

To much info. Sorry for rambling.

They do like to worry us.
I know what you mean! I was ready to Increase Ravan's dose because he wasn't getting any green for days. Last night he went down to 48!
I'm not going to decrease yet. I'll see what surprises he has for me tonight. I sometimes think It's a conspiracy among the Kitties to get even with us for poking their ears! :D

Crazy story about those people on a TV show trying to get citizenship. Many years ago I was asked to "Marry" a guy who was trying to get citizenship. He would pay me a couple thousand & after a year we'd divorce.

Apparently that is a thing on going. (I told him he was out of his mind if he thought I'd do something like that, I heard he found someone who would!) It's a crazy world!:eek::eek:

Have a Great day!:)

It is nuts. But then there are legitimate ones. My DH nephew met a girl from Spain here in the U.S. on a work visa translating for students in a primary school. Both were in bands, different ones and they met at place where they were both playing at. Her visa was 5 yrs then return to Spain. They ended up falling in love, she continued to work and she lived with him and his parents for the 5 yrs. In order for her to stay they had to get married but was against having to because they were being "forced" But they ended up doing so. Family went through the interview and spot home checks. She did have to go back every so often for length of time to keep her Spain citizen status. Nephew always went with her. She now a U.S.citizen and has dual citizenship. When nephews mother passed away. The father remarried and sold the house so now they didn't have a free home to live in and they chose to stay in Spain. Nephew has not forgiven father for not supporting them anymore. They had everything paid for and split their time between U.S. and Spain. Spain doesn't allow dual citizenship (from what they told us) so nephew has to give up U.S. citizenship to become Spain citizenship. I don't know if he did. She is a lovely woman and always worked when in the U.S. She also worked, some time in NYC translating fashion magazines and Avon magazines into Spanish. Translating at the school and I think some translating for court cases. Theirs was a true case love story, but the ones on tv are people trying to get green cards and the fools who fall for it and actually spend all their money trying to make it work.
