Greetings to all L&LL kitties from Camp Stu.
The full moon is tomorrow night and GA Rusty had invited all of his L &LL friends to hold full moon parties at Camp whenever they wished. So come to Camp, bring your civvies, and have a great time. Chef Felix (@Susan&Felix ) and his Kitchen Krew will have the grill fired up, and there will be dancing, singing, and the magical Circle of Remembrance. The GAs will be partying too!

Hi Beans,
We are here at camp this weekend. It’s been a busy and unusual summer owing to medical procedures, so we haven’t been here as often as we would have liked. Tonight the almost full moon is spectacular, moonbeams shining on the lake. We picture Rusty up at the Bridge and happy.

Rusty’s spirit is very much alive here and at home and he continues to send us delightful signs. Most recently he has sent us a cricket. It sings and chirps every night from spots in our house that Rusty used to spend time in: his basket, his favorite bag, behind the TV set (cricket begins chirping just when I come downstairs to watch TV!). We consider him to be Rusty’s emissary. But how I wish I could be sitting on the couch watching TV with Rusty on my lap eating his dinner (saved until I came downstairs).

Wishing everyone a good rest of the summer and sending vines to all kitties and beans in need. I’ve been trying to kerp up with the board, not always successfully!
 
We really 'purrciate being able to party at our regular full-moon stomping grounds, Auntie Ella! I've got almost everything prepped for tomorrow.

Don't forget you and Unclie Edward have a lifetime subscription to KTSS if you ever want it after your medical procedures, as Rusty arranged for you before he left.

Yo, dudes and dudettes, my momma said I am allowed to go even though I am grounded from evening activities, the full moon parties are near and dear to momma's heart and said it's a special occasional.

So, count on me and my brudder, he is feeling a little better since his procedure yesterday and wez are ready to kick up our paws and eat something delectable.

Looks like everyone is gathering at this thread, so I'll post the menu here instead of starting a mew one. Of course, there will be traditional favorites as prepared by my mentor, Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Sturgeon Moons past:
Appetizers: Moon Microbrews; Moontinis and other delicious cocktails; Caviar on Nip Crackers; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas with Green Cheese; Egg Rolls; Sushi Bar manned by L&LL Sushi Chef Tux.
Entrees: Sturgeon Chowder; Shad Roe; Grilled Lake Trout; Flying Squirrel Kabobs; Michigans (red hotdogs with meat sauce--a Northern NY specialty); Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili with Fresh Moonberry Salsa; Mousehead Stew (fresh-caught mousies: come early to help hunt); Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Nip Mayo.
Salads: Butthead's & Donny's Adirondack Field Greens; Moonshine Slaw.
Desserts: Moon Pies; Maggie's Signature Cheesecakes with Wild Blueberries; Tobey's Cimmamoon Cookies; Moondrop Torte à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Thanks, kitties and krew, who have been getting the fuds ready. I hope Leo (@Sonia & Leo) will be able to bring that yummy chunky tuna and salmon flavored ice cream with sardine toppings again. Everyone, feel free to bring your own favorites to share--let's start more new traditions!

Don't feel quite up to partying tonight? Then be a Taster! We will bring you just one bite of everything to make sure it's up to Chef Rusty's standards. The Taster Blankets are a place for kitties who are grieving and for kitties who are too unwell for dancing and feasting (but we hope we can coax you to have a taste); they're a little away from the dancing and whooping-it-up, but there's a good view for the Circle of Remembrance. Just come to the Taster Blankets, where Idjit (@Idjit's mom), our Taster Blanket Coordinator extraordinaire, will get you a good seat on a comfy blankie.

And for everyone who DOES feel like partying: Party on! And on and on!

Oops, I've got to go get a batch of crunchy croutons out of the oven...

Idjit is resting up now, getting ready for his service tonight. He will be wearing his tail coat with sequinned lapels, so all will know he can be asked to escort anyone to the Taster Blanket and take requests for bits and bites. Extra gentle head butts and a likkin' kiss will be freely distributed upon request.
 
Licorice and I will be there. I'm not allowed to be a taster this time cuz I have my dental in the morning. But I probably hang out on the Taster Blankets anyway cuz I'm still missing Regan and Rosa too. Me and Licorice are tryin' to decide if we bring Dad's new kitten, Luna with us. Mom is sad cuz she says Rosa and Regan might think they's been replaced when they haven't and the kitten is Dad's not Mom's anyway. I think Luna should get to meet our GAs at the circle so she knows who we talking 'bout and why we love them so much and why we sad sometimes. Licorice says she doesn't know what we should do but then she never does. ~Roxi

Dusty very shyly requests if Idjit will escort her to the TasterBlanket purrlease. She whispers that she doesn't really feel like a pawty much as she is missing her Ty too much so extra gentles will be fine. She really wishes to be there for the circle of remembrance so that when the veil lifts, her & Ty can briefly touch noses & croon to each other quietly just one more time .

"Purr, thank you kindly Mr Idjit. I furs safe & sure in your sure paws. You look furry fine with your tux and tails this evening. I chose a diaphanous green shawl gown for my first pawty ball & have brought a small plate of catnip after dinner wavers & some cheese straws."
