HI.........it happens to as all, sometimes different 'colours' such as Davidson being stuck on the blues at AM/PM PS times until recently. I'd test at +3,5,9 on both cycles.........need those tests to see how they do during and after nadir.

Hi Krystina, looks like Nelli has some NDW going on today after the increase last night. I would get a test in around onset +3 and if she isn't moving too much, give her a break until around +6 or so to see if this dose is kicking in. Bubba just about always had NDW on the 2nd cycle after an increase.

Thanks :).
Another (important) question... I have not tested Nelli for ketones yet. I realize it is very important so I am in process of buying a kit and strips. Question is how many times a day do I need to check for key tones? Thanks!

oh Bobbie I am so scared and confused. I changed my thread title just now to reflect what’s going on.
Her arthritis (I’m sure b/c back on Antinol) and neuropathy was doing remarkably better the last two days. Today it is extremely bad. As a matter of fact, yesterday morning for the first time in weeks she had gone #1 & #2 without my help in and out AND she covered up her ‘duty’. Today she couldn’t even stand up to finish urinating before she sat down in litter box. I don’t understand “bouncing”

I am so sorry about her weak legs today. I don't have any experience with neuropathy or arthritis so I hope that others can weigh in about her being good one day and really bad the next.

I wouldn't say this is bouncing today. Looks like she has some New Dose Wonkiness today . Below is taken from the stickie, "New to the Group " :

Also worth noting: "Many cats will occasionally react to an increased dose with increased BGs - within the first 2 to 3 days after an increase, usually lasting for less than 24 hours. Nobody really knows what the reason for this phenomenon is (perhaps a "panicky liver"?) - hold the dose and ignore the fluctuations." http://www.tillydiabetes.net/en_6_protocol2.htm. Here in the Lantus, Basaglar, and Levemir Insulin Support Group (ISG), we've affectionately dubbed this unexplained phenomenon "New Dose Wonkiness" (NDW).

If she stays flat yellow like this, it sometimes indicate a drop in BG's in the next cycle or two.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I have a very early morning with my work tomorrow. I’ve been running for days straight now on 4-6 hours sleep a night. I will do a +3 tonight and try, really try to get a +5 and a +9. In the morning I will be leaving after Nelli‘s 630a shot and won’t be back until about 10:15 -10:30. I know that is going to be a +4- it is the best I can do. I am alone, it is just Nelli and I so she is completely dependent on me only :-|

Thanks Bobbie.
I am thoroughly discussed with myself. I am using the “role skin” method to shoot Nelli opposed to the tent method. It has been working great. Tonight when I gave her shot she moved, rolled over to her other side at last second and needle went through the skin on the other side, FS :banghead:
I realize that if there is an FS or an NS her cycles over again. She has had (only) two 4.25. I don’t go back to 4 do I? I stay with 4.25 tomorrow as though this is first increase?

FS stink! It happens to us all. Yes, the count starts over with the new dose. So , tomorrow, you will shoot 4.25 and that will count as cycle 1 after the increase. Don't sweat it. She will get there. Slow and steady. This is a marathon race, not a sprint.
