BG way off on 2 tests

So what do you do when you check BG in the morning and it's 301 and then you recheck and it's 165? Should I check a 3rd time? Why would it be so OFF? I forgot to mention that he was just diagnosed last week and he's only on 1 unit of ProZinc every 12 hours. I am using an AlphaTrak 2 meter.

I haven't set up the spreadsheet yet because the vet asked me NOT to test every couple hours. She wants only one or two BG tests per day, since he's getting really skittish about it already. He runs fgrom the room when he sees the lancet.

We're here to help regardless. :)

You don't have to test constantly to use the spreadsheet. I get pre-shot tests and one or two other tests during the day, and still find the spreadsheet to be a valuable tool.

OK I updated the spreadsheet and posted on his profile, going back to Tuesday afternoon when the meter arrived in the mail from Amazon. He also had readings at the vet on Monday and at the hospital last weekend. Mostly in the low 300's

Great job! I would probably put the 200 in the AMPS box on this one since it's the middle number of the three. Also, when you're adding a long note, one option is to right click on the cell, and a menu will pop up. Select "insert note" and a little box pops up where you can type as much as you want. Then it leaves a little black triangle in the corner of the cell and if you hover over, the note reappears. The way you did it is fine too, it's just a different option if you don't want your spreadsheet to stretch out.

Oh! I just noticed that you put all three values in there. I had only noticed the pink one. Sorry about that.
