Any recommendations on ketone testing strips? Do I need to purchase ones designed specifically for cats or do the human testing strips work the same for cats?

They only make them for humans. I can't recommend a brand because I use a blood ketone meter, but I'm sure anything in the pharmacy is fine to use.

Any urine ketone test strips will work......get the cheapest and just follow the directions exactly.
It's most important to "read" them at the correct time and in good light

Amazon had a brand for pets, but a lot more expensive than the brands for people.
