He definitely could still be bouncing. And it could also be failed reduction; he did have two reductions way too close to each other. But he's only on cycle 3 of this dose so you'll need to wait for a few more cycles before thinking about increasing him back up.

@Judy and Boomer

It's confusing. I was told ,when i switched, to give 1 unit of Levemir by some & others said .75. I went with the .75 & after only 5 days he dropped into 40's
I decreased to .5 & he dropped again. I was told to decrease again. Then told I should of kept the dose the same.
I went back to .5 & he dropped to 36. Now he's on .25.
How many days do I keep the dose at .25? What am I waiting to see? Green,at this dose?

Not enough sleep lately:confused::confused::confused:

Well....a lot of us don't have any experience switching insulins. There are guidelines but they're only guidelines and each cat is different. To keep our kitties safe, we reduce the dose once they go low. But we know that we may have to increase the dose again; that the low may have been just a one time thing.
If you take a look at Boomer's ss, today he dropped from 164 all the way down to 34 in the first 3 hours. That 34 gets him an automatic reduction down to .5u But he's been at the dose .5u a couple of times recently and fails it. But perhaps this time he's ready for it. I won't know until I try and if he fails it then we'll go back up. But no matter what I do it's done in a way that keeps him safe.
