Yesterday - No lagoon 'yet'

Another day in the doldrums for Luci. :(

I'm feeling a bit better - have an odd reaction to the Novacaine...a little SOB/fibrillation. Seems that is a common reaction to anethetics for me...not the first time this has happened...best to rest and not overexert...should be fine soon!

At least Luci is feeling fine today - eating well, purring for her tests! :D

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you all have a lovely restful day! Sending healing vines and hugs to all the kittehs here in L&L Land!!:bighug:
:bighug:

Hi Sue, sorry about the SOB/fibrillation. What does the SOB stand for? Is this AFib?

Come on Luci, work that dosecrease!

Shortness of breath
Yes, a little afib = atrial fibrillation. Been dealing with that off and on for years. I thought everyone had a fluttery heart when they get Novacaine :) Not so much I guess...It's wearing off - feeling better each day - I notice it only on exertion so the easy answer is rest up...drink lots of liquids...those doctors are serious when they tell you to take it easy! Even lugging Luci up the stairs yesterday was taxing ... she wouldn't come up even for a treat so I had to go down and pick her little 10 pound butt up and carry her...what a princess she is!

I hope Luci slides down for you today. Make sure you take it easy today. I hope you keep feeling better. Sending prayers.

Do they add the epinephrine or atropine to the novacaine? My cardiologist told me years ago when I had the heart attack to make sure I remind dentist to not use those 2 drugs.

Luci, bella is waiting with treats:rolleyes:
Get some rest and glad u r feeling some better, be a couch potato

I knew she would come:D

I'm so excited!!! Dance a little Donna Summer dance...:eek:

I just hope she'll stay a while longer than she did the other day...ask Coach Bella if he could help her out a little...no catinis:facepalm: until she's been surfing for several hours, k?:cool: He's such a sweet thing...I think she's following him...I swear I do...

15 min, I’m gonna see if he’s still there, that booger better be:woot:

I really don't know...and didn't ask...maybe I should?
Yeah, that's where I was going to take this. Not everyone gets the racing of the heart after local with epi in it. Just some peeps with aFib and some other heart issues. You should tell you dentist and any other specialist you see for dental work to use a local without epinephrine in it. There are different ones out there.

I have seen patients almost faint after an injection with epi and get racing heart and get all sweaty. Not fun. One type of anesthetic without epi is 3% mepivacaine. Since the anesthesia ill effect last for a day or two , I would avoid epi at all cost. The only down fall of using ones without epi is that they wear off quickly so another injection could be necessary but since you would all ready be numb in the tissue, it shouldn't be an issue.

Hope you feel better ASAP.

Excellent information! I'll be sure to ask about that next time - I had no idea I was supposed to tell them about any PVC's I have had...or other cardiac issues - sheesh, I was diagnosed with V-Tach and had to have an cardiac catheterization and ultimately an ablation...no fun at all!! My PVC's have greatly improved after that - but I still get them from time to time...maybe the root canal was too stressful - I sure was nervous about it - not that I thought it was going to hurt...I've had them before...but I was just kinda 'on the ceiling'...what can I say???

Luci, slide down a little bit more, just a tad!

Luci has gone to 90...is that enuf? :D:D
She's laughing at us...because now we're trying to 'make' her do something ... ha! That girl does whatever the heck she pleases...most times she's flying down to see the sharks and today she's just playing around on the edges with her boogey board...:cat::cat:

She wants us to know that we're never satisfied... :p:p (she's sticking her tongue out at all of us)...do this, do that...she says 'take a message'...:cat::cat:

Signed,

Cat in Charge

She is being very difficult today - left the lagoon so soon.. :(
So here's the question - I know how to get her numbers to go up if she's hypo...but I sure wish I could figure out how to get her to go down :)

Hooray for feeling better! Here's hoping today's the day Luci gets her act together! Now, let's hope she doesn't go too deep in true Luci fashion. Come on Luci!!

She's a pistol....darn it all...got her into the lagoon...but she wouldn't get serious...just came on back out...too soon :(

Well you didn't get any NDW so that's good. The new depot needs to build. And when it does, I bet she'll do one of those dives she does so well.
