Of course the day we go to the vet is the day he is going to come down. I swear vet visits always seem to fall on the third day for us (this time after the NS), which is when the juice starts to work its magic for him. And I couldn't feed him the full meal since I need him to eat at +2 for the gaba… I think I will put a little HC gravy in the +2 for safety today.

No....not China....she's doing great! I'm the one that has to have the echo!! (thus the double vodka instead of RR.....LOL)

Doc says I'm in heart failure so this is the first test to see what's really going on :nailbiting:
Ohhhh Chris I will be thinking of you today, hugs your way :bighug:

He ate the Gaba at +2 and its +3.5 now. I just fed him his freeze dried minnow treats with 4 drops of RR because the last time at the vet really scared both of us so I wanted to be sure he was sleepy. He is pretty much in la-la land already, and I am freaking myself out thinking I might have given him too much. I hope the combination of the Gaba and the RR are ok. I know a few of you have said it will be so I have to really try and calm myself down but I hate seeing him like this...… but at the same time it's good for the echo. How do I know if I gave him too much? Trying not to overanalyze... leaving for the vet in 45 minutes. Ugh I can barely get through this so I am really going to be freaking out in NYC.

We are home sorry for the late update I have a horrible headache and we both needed a nap after that stressful visit. He did not need the sedative. After a few breaks and holding him down, he "sat still" for the entire 30 minutes which we could not believe. I started crying in the last ten minutes. I tried my best to hold It together but he really did not want to be held down I felt so terrible for him. But its all over now!

So glad it's done and you have great dinner plans!

It's great you could be there for the echo. I was never allowed to be - which is probably one of the reasons a sedative was needed. When do you get the results?

The results already came back, his heart is normal :cat:

Anne of Green Gables?
Yes! :) My best friend told me it used to be a show? I have not seen the old one but Netflix re-made it and I love it so much.

So happy you two are done with your day!!!!
Thank you for checking up on us Jill :bighug: are you and Jade doing well?

I don't know what I would do without this group. I know you all have probably heard it so many times, but you all are truly a god-send. I have not done well all day, I have so much anxiety over this whole situation, I feel jittery. You all have helped so much.

Side note - his PMPS 263 was very odd. Super high but if it was a bounce there was nothing to cause it. Kind of nervous he may have suddenly dropped low after +7... although I dont think a bounce would be that fast. I'm setting an alarm for +9 tonight out of curiosity.

Question - wondering if I should increase him tomorrow, thoughts?
@Wendy&Neko if you log on tonight curious what you think?

Stress can do crazy things to the BG. I had a civie that was over 220 at the vet, and 53 at home the next day. However, having said that, I'd vote for an increase to 4.25 units. The greens you initially saw on 4.0 units were likely due to either the 4.75 or 4.5 unit dose.

And by the way, AWESOME news on the echo results. :woot::woot::woot:
