Tucker is bright eyed today. Not starving, but I'm guessing that is because his BG is a bit lower??

Looking good. I would probably test at +4 as well as the +6. We just want to ensure he doesn't go too low. With some more luck, the 5.5 will be his current dose for awhile.

First blue AMPS for Mr Tucker :cool:
This is true and he seemed pretty happy this morning as well...BUT.....he turned down his raw diet but gobbled up a handful of cooked chicken breast and a tin of FF Classic. I have been keeping an eye on him and he's actually been very quiet. A few minutes ago I went to check on him again and when I went to pat him he growled at me...........which is highly unusual. He also looks a bit ruffled, not as sleek in his fur? I was so happy this morning....now I'm not sure what to do.

I agree with Jeff....I'd get a test to see what he's up to.....or down to!
I started to post earlier but was distracted.by the builders.......great to see a blue AMPS,

Ok, so I did a +6 and he was up to 11, then at PMPS he was 13....and he perked up a bit. We put our heads together and turns out when I made a crockpot of pulled pork yesterday my husband took the skin and made crackling....and the bit was too fatty for him? He gave to Tucker just before bed. We think the super thick, fatty pork made him sick to his stomach. As the day has gone on he seems more and more himself. Fingers crossed that's all it was, at the moment he ate 2 handfuls of shredded chicken for tea and was much more bright.

That's good too. Around 5.5 (100) is their natural range. We will get into fine tuning for Tucker in a couple of days. Let's see how it goes.

Leo (here) was in cahoots with Tucker yesterday. Leo sneaked some crunch from China at PMPS last night, while Tucker got his fat allotment for the month from those cracklings.

I know! I was not happy! I've done a +6 and he is 6.6!
@JeffJ @Bron and Sheba
Once a person on the forum responds to a thread, they automatically get subscribed to it. So new tags pretty much are not needed at that point. Bron, you, and I will get notifications when updates are posted to the thread.

The deficiency in the "new thread per day condo" model is that we have to go looking for a kitteh we have an interest in - when a new thread is started. I like the forum, but am not a fan of that protocol.

I'm no expert at this forum by any means, but I lose people I've looked up before to check back in to see what action they've taken and how their kitty is going. I keep forgetting to link the day before's thread to my current thread, or even how to do it. I think 6.6 might be Tucker's lowest number so far. It is midnight here, is it safe for me to go to bed? He had a fistful of cooked chicken breast for his good boy treat and now he is sleeping with Teddy on top of their dad's pillow!

Yes, it is safe to go to bed. Tucker will be fine. Sounds like he is being a good boy.

For the forum, like I said, if we already put a response in this thread, we will get notifications of changes to the thread. But you reiterated my issue with the forum - a person basically has to look for new threads to find updates. My preference would be to have a single long thread for each cat. Also the history would be intact. As an example in the Acro subforum, Leo's Acromegaly journey is documented there. And multiple people have told me that is helpful. The thread is in my sig, also here.

Love the new colour scheme Tucker!

One thing you may notice is that it can take them a while to feel good in better blood sugar numbers. High blood sugar is like coffee. Take it away and they feel grumpy. Neko used omplay in pink and bequiet in blue/green. Hid under the bed at her first green. Eventually that turned around.

I'm relieved to hear this Wendy, thank you. I've just posted a maybe-emergency this morning? He hit his first morning green and 2nd green ever. I did his AM test 25 minutes ago and it was 3.3 (59) so I retested with our 2nd meter and it was 4.3 (77) and I'm not sure what to do.
