Good morning or actually good evening (because I started this morning ) L & L,
anti-jinx vines on this Friday the you know what day. Am I superstitious?

My apologies for not updating sooner. Between pesky internet foibles and more on-goings at the shop today....but I was able to scan Spunky’s new lab results from surgery day (and a fecal from May) and save to pdf (attached below). ( @Marje and Gracie would you have time to take a look at these?)
Re Spunky: on Monday I changed Spunky’s appt to be with the surgeon for the two-week post-op followup. His earliest available was yesterday which worked out to be precisely two weeks after surgeries, and was what he suggested two weeks ago anyway.
Changing the appointment was a relief mostly because it reset the priorities to be, as the old saying goes, the horse in front of the cart instead of vice versa.
Yesterday morning I brought Spunky to Dr B the surgeon for recheck. I guess Spunky got quite the spitfire reputation on surgery day bc a tech asked with delicate trepidation, “is this the Spunky who I’ve heard is quite the handful except around her mom?” Yep, that’s Spunky. Oops but they can’t say I didn’t warn them at the outset!
As of yesterday, Spunky’s weight is now 10.11# up from 10.1 two weeks ago. Dr B said both her mouth and the ear were healing well, looked good with no signs of infection. Suggested recheck in a month and do a once weekly ear clean for ear maintenance and to stave off reinfection. Said anything with as little alcohol as possible. Unfortunately most ear treatments include some alcohol and most of them state don’t use if ear drum/tympanic membrane damage, which is the case in spunky’s ear.
I found this one, though, and both Dr B and HV said it would ok. So I’m ordering it tonight crossing paws that internet continues to behave.

Also here’s a picture of spitfire Spunky as she was on way home from vet yesterday!
With thanks and hugs and
from us all and vines and hugs and
for all in need,

I nestled her so that Dr b could examine her; the tech mentioned that she’d never seen a cat curl up into such a tight ball during an exam.
