Squallie is still doing well, pawing less at his mouth every day. :) He still isn't eating as well as I would ike to see, but I think some of that is because of the heat and, frankly, he's just gotten much pickier about what he'll eat. Food that he loved yesterday, he walks away from today, and vice versa.

I am pretty sure I broke my foot this morning (good ole Friday the 13th at it's best, lol!) tripping over an electrical cord; just what I needed! Wrist is a little dodgy, too, but I don't think it's broken, thankfully. Oh well, at least I avoided crashing through the glass table!:facepalm::):)

Oh no, I hope you are going to get some medical care, a broken foot is no good. I'm glad you didn't go crashing through the glass table, the thought is awful. Please take good care of yourself. Sorry Squallie is being a bit picky, I hope that improves.

Thanks, Lou. Honestly, I don't think there's much point in seeing anyone about the foot, it doesn't look or feel like anything is out of place. I will keep an Ace bandage on it and wear sturdy shoes for a few weeks, and I'm sure it will be fine (been here, done this before, can you tell, lol?) :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I think Squallie is enjoying being picky, lol, I think it makes him feel like he's setting the rules! Silly, sweet boy! :cat::cat:

I demolished my wrist 15 years ago, had an outdoor wooden staircase collapse under me. There was talk of fusing the bone but a great doctor put me in an external fixator, just a gruesome contraption but great for kids who had to know did it hurt/can I touch it/why is the sky blue?
Give the little man a scratch and forget this day ever happened.

Dickson, that's awful. I guess I'm surprised that the wrist was the only injury, or just the worst. I just looked up the external fixation device, that had to be hard to live with.

If I had not broken my wrist I would never have moved in with Cynthia. I was useless without my wrist, couldn't even put deodorant on.
That was also another concussion. When I finally woke up in a downtown Toronto alley my face was wet from blood and then I looked at my wrist all bent like a pretzel. We showed up at emergency on Friday night and I got the eye-rolling look from the nurse until I held up my arm. They gave me something called more-fine, it was gooood!
To keep CJ from rolling onto my arm in bed we switched sides left to right. What a sacrifice! Dinner time.

Lucy, I'm so sorry. I hope your foot heals quickly. I'm glad you missed the table. I'm glad Squallie is doing well overall. I hope he stops being picky. Sending prayers.
