I think I'm doing the right thing by not shooting at 90 and under, am I? She's on a teeny dose, but seems to being doing well today. I did post about about this subject t the other day and was given the advice that because I don't have enough data yet on shooting this low, I should wait until I have a chance to perhaps do a bit of a curve when I do. Or at least when I can get a +2 and +4. Since the +4 is 3am for me, I'd probably prefer to wait until a daytime curve, which would be possibly Sunday and if not, then Monday.
Thoughts?

As long as she's under 90, I wouldn't shoot. Technically you could have tonight, but you would have had to stay up and monitor.

She's doing really well!

Thank you! I feel selfish by not wanting to pull an all nighter, but as long as I know that this isn't harming her, I'd feel better waiting for a day off. I don't do well at the restaurant when I'm super sleep deprived...

Jade is doing spectacular!! Beautiful numbers, nice work momma bean!! She’s doing great because of your hard work and making sure she gets what she needs:bighug:

I can't even imagine how small a smaller dose would be, would I just take a drop and flick it her way??LOL
Yes, we do have a drop dose! But no, it is not flicked in the cat's general direction. :joyful:

You take a syringe, push in the plunger all the way, insert into the insulin, release the plunger, and pull it out. That's your drop dose. If you want to test to see if there is really anything, you can express it onto a paper towel to see it. When you administer to the cat, what you do is to insert the needle, push in the plunger firmly, hold for a few seconds, and pull out without releasing the plunger.

We are both paying very close attention here...

I did see the drop on the paper towel, it appears to be the drop that basically just sort of clings to the very end, and once that goes into the skin, it just absorbs? As opposed to being able to push the plunger at all?

Right! If you were to release the plunger before pulling it out, it is possible for the insulin to be vacummed back into the needle before it had a chance to be absorbed.

Perfect! Much less nerve wracking than the 0.1 to measure. I'll tell ya, I will never ever forget the smell of Insulin. ICK.
I will try the drop next time she's at 90 or above, unless I hear something different from the experts! Thank you for being you. And for being so generous with your time ,energy and advice.

I feel like chanting, Remission ,remission, YES!!
Maybe Jade's BG went down so fast because you stopped DRY Food?
I sure think that’s part of it!! I feel bad being happy for her while you and Ravan are having such a hard time. I really feel for you two. :bighug:
