"Ravan needs to learn not to panic" I'm the one who panicked! Ravan just looked sick. Friday is my son's birthday I'd like to go out to dinner with him.I won't be changing Ravin's dosage till after then.
Some people told me Ravan dropping down low so fast was ,"A clear sign,the dose was too high" You don't agree with that?
It's not only his bg was way too high he was not looking so good.Even when his bg was green he was drinking a ton of water & sleeping constantly.This will never be easy for me. I get too emotional when it concerns my Kitty kids.

I was hoping his bg might come down on this dose if I was patient & waited,maybe 2 weeks?

On 1.25 both times. bg dropped after 2 weeks? Maybe his body just takes longer to adjust?

I do agree that his dose was too high on 7/1. You did the right thing by reducing. That said, it doesn't mean that the 1.25u dose is too high today. Kitties needs for insulin change.

There is no worry leaving for dinner with your son if Ravan is in higher numbers. If he is in lower numbers and you ever need to leave, you can abort the cycle by giving HC food.

Some kitties do take longer to respond to dose changes. Even with SLGS we only hold the dose for 7 days. I wouldn't hold it any longer than that if you aren't seeing some green. The longer you hold a dose that isn't working, the higher chances for glucose toxicity to set in and then you end up keep raising the dose to break through.

@Osha
When Ravan dropped low the other day (45) I gave him HC food & 30 mins later he was still dropping That's when I got worried. He ate 2 Cans Of FF Gravy Lovers & didn't
come up for over an hour? If I had to go somewhere I definitely would have cancelled.

Do you know how to remove a second post i did this morning by accident?
