I am pleased to say that in little over a month my almost 15 year old Gabby is in remission! No more insulin and I am testing her before her meals twice a day. She is staying well within the numbers the Vet gave me. I am feeding her every 12 hours a high protein, canned cat food. She is acting healthier than she has in a long time!

That is great news!
Are you able to tell us the numbers your vet gave you?

Here is what has been happening, and vet is okay with it, so am I and Gabby is acting fine:

Reading this gives me inspiration! My vet had me on a "give this level of insulin and we'll test in 3 weeks" schedule, and I'm just starting to learn how to test now myself because I don't think its fair to make him wait so long to get his BG under control. I'll keep watching your successful progress and try to apply it to my own journey!!

What a relief for you both huh!!
