Happy Father's Day.

Yesterday she got a reducie. It seems to be every 5 days she earns one. I imagine it will level off at some point. Will be having dinner with my dad today. I was told I was the only one who registered . There are only about 6 men in the facility. They probably will go out, where my dad won't leave. That's his choice. At least Olive will cooperate today.
 
So father's day dinner was a bust. Facility, father or both messed it up. There has been lack of communication with the dining staff lately. My father doesn't take changes well at all. When they have the holiday dinners with guest it's usually at 12:30 and they set up resident and guest in different room. Any other day my dad goes to dining room at 12:15 and sits at his assigned table.

Today my dad goes down like any other day, they mention to him "thought daughter was coming" I don't know what he said, but he sits and they serve him. So now I arrive and he goes I don't know how they can fit another person at this table. I said they set us up across the hall like they always do when I eat here with you. He got mad, left the dining room and sat in lobby pouting and all in a snit. There is no dealing with him when he gets into one of those moods. So I asked them to send his food on a tray to his room. Then they tell me he only eats cheerios for dinner. I'm like what did you serve him 10 minutes ago that you cleared away? Beef and potatoes, well put THAT on a tray and send it up to his room. So I ended up coming home.

Hey Paula, long time no talk. I’m glad Olive is doing better. Yay for reductions. Her sugars look good.

Im sorry your dinner with you dad didn’t go well. :( :bighug:

I’m so sorry about the day with your dad. I totally understand....I have a lot of the same issues with my mom. It’s so hard when they get older and we often have to be the parent. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

It is so hard being the child parent. In his eyes/mind I'm still a child who know nothing.

Olive is doing well despite all her dx. I just wish she would surf longer in normal range and in both cycles. I guess that's asking to much. She has a consultation with dental specialist on Thursday to make sure everything is okay on that front.

My mom is the same way. It doesn’t matter that we are mature adults.....we are still the child. But we do the best we can by them. Your dad is very lucky to have such a wonderful daughter.

I hope the dental visit goes really well and I hope her liver learns to surf!!!
