The wankers at Roche won't come right out and say it's a recall.

"Also, in a very limited number of cases (0.017%) the Accu-Chek Aviva test strip can produce a biased result i.e. a false high or a false low value, which patients might not be able to detect easily and which could lead to erroneous therapy adaptations."

It goes on from there with lot numbers etc. and a lot of corporate jibberish.
@Juliet You're the only other member I can think of that uses this meter.

I don't use this meter.

Nuts, I knew I forgot something.

If you cannot read the numbers. In Windows 7 you can make what appears on your screen larger by pressing Ctrl and + at the same time.
You can reverse this by pressing Ctrl and - at the same time.
This is computer stuff I can't say won't affect your machine the same way.

Why I called Roche "wankers". I was in my pharmacy this morning looking at a pamphlet from Aviva while I wasted 20 minutes. Aviva products are featured prominently there but there was no poster or notice. Roche/Aviva does have a new strip dispenser and my pharmacist could not answer my questions so I just stumbled upon this completely by accident! These are human meters so that could be your child at the wrong end of the strip. Not very good service is it?

I get strips directly from the maker and haven't seen any with that far out of an expiration yet. I've always retested unusual results (as I hope most do) so hopefully it has a minimal effect on everyone.
