My diabetic fur baby doesn't always pee or poop in the litterbox. I know diabetes in people can cause nerve pain in the hands and feet. could this be the case in my girl?

I need a solution to this problem because the catboxes are in my mother in laws room and she is about to kick the cat out.

If she's having problems with neuropathy then in addition to getting the bg levels lower/more regulated, add b12 methylcobalamin supplements. Many of us use zobaline brand which can be found on Amazon. Try a lower sided litterbox, puppy training pads, and CLEAN old messes with a pet specific cleaner. My favorite is Anti Icky Poo Unscented which I get on amazon. Another new favorite is angry orange concentrate.

You could try Blue Buffalo walnut based clumping litter. Also, Dr. Elsey’s Cat Attract litter (red bag) has worked wonders for me when I have a cat that decides not to use the box. When the problem is resolved I go back to Dr. Elsey’s precious cat (blue bag). That is the only litter I typically use.
