I noticed a spot on my kitties back paw a few days ago, didn't think anything of it. Thought it was just a clump of litter...however, today I realize it looks to be a hot spot which from reading the internet this is bacteria infection which requires treatment. So, we have a vet appt today but my question is does a bacteria infection raise BGs? Typically his numbers are around 70-85 and today after seeing that spot I took his BG and it's 92, waited two hours while he napped and then retook and it's 106. The last time I took his test was 5/13 and it was 70. Please let me know if anyone has seen this before. Thanks! Really hoping he isn't coming out of remission.
