Beautiful start today. However, we have vetty this morning just when she will drop. He will test her and get low number. I don't know what he considers to low. I will feed her some lc on the high end before we go. This will be interesting visit.

Olive is trying to be alpha cat now. She's been going after PJ at least once a day. PJ won't come into the same room with Olive anymore. Her quirky little traits are slowly disappearing. Would like to say it's payback as she did it to Tripper. But I want my quirky possum back.

Have to pack her travel bag and print out current page of ss. Will visit condos when we are back home.

Beautiful blue start for Olive!
Is this vet visit for anything specific?

Sort of. In February Dr D said to repeat liver values in a few months when her glucose levels have lowered and her food intake was consistent (don't know how to explain the food part). Never gave me a month to repeat so since she can now be tested for IAa and acro might as well do it all. There are also some skin irritation and the stud tail issue. A few things need to be addressed.

The food part is Dr thinks her liver values were high because we don't know how long she might have been without food before being found. Dr thinks she was dumped and it took a while for her to learn how to find food. Hepatic lipidosis might have started.

Back from vets. He was thrilled with her glucose readings of today. He did draw the labs and IGF. I asked about the acro many times. He said they are done together automatically. I don't know about this. He also said it goes to antech and they send it on. Again I don't know. He said the labs are contracted now so more vets will order the non usual tests more at a more affordable price to pet parent. I don't know what to think about it. Olive gave a fight about the blood draw. I am going to let her calm down for awhile before I test. He wasn't concerned over the small little irritation or whatever it's called is. She has some inflammation around molars. All in all she is well. Once labs are back her dental will be scheduled.

So much for vet stress. While at vets and older woman was there and she has a newly diagnosed diabetic cat. A friend helps her give shots. She home tests sometimes friend said every couple of days needs 2 people to test. Cat is on Vetsulin. Now giving 4 units twice day. The friend gestured eyesight or brain problem. Not sure what she was trying to say there. The woman has 9 cats total. Feeding dry and wet food. I offered to help with testing. Friend and I exchanged numbers.
