I guess the threat of R really worked this time!

Loving this run of blues, although I would have appreciated it during the AM cycle.

I have the sunscreen and the surfboard at the ready, hopefully he decides to stay away from the sharks!

The threat of R is still on the table Floyd!

Floyd was trying to save Luci from the sharks! @Sue and Luci

Glad he's finally away from teasing the sharks. Looks like lows early in the cycle might need something a little stronger than 15% carbs. I used Weruva Grandma's Chicken Soup as kidney friendly and over 20%.

I'm always torn about how much carbs to give because he is completely asymptomatic for hypo and I don't want to overdo it because I know the bounce is coming!

I'll check out the Weruva, thanks!

Remember Floyd, the R is ready for the end of this cycle.
Yes, it is!

Floyd had to come to piano lessons again. He's liking the new playpen we got for traveling. He's even used the LB I'm it already!

We'll be going on a 5 hour ride to Northern Michigan for Memorial Day weekend, so I'm glad he's getting used to it.

I understand where you are coming from, I felt much the same, BFG got to 27 once and no hypo symptoms, I was afraid of using higher carbs because I didn't want to overshoot and contribute to the bounce and ugly high numbers. After suggestions, probably Wendys and Siennes (if I am remembering right) after a long 4 hours of fighting low numbers(vet on standyby in case I had to rush him in) I decided to give using higher carb earlier in the cycle a try, granted, BFG was never as bouncy as your guy, but it was the turning point for him.

The way I see it, is if you can slow the drop you may mitigate the bounce that will inevitably follow.

Wow, Floyd, you sure like that trampoline, don't you? Good thing it won't fit in your playpen. Time to knock that stuff off!

I love the playpen. We travel a lot with our cats and let them roam the car. They spend most of their time sleeping in or on their carriers.
