Hello! Meet Cookie!

Hello! Meet Cookie, my newly diagnosed diabetic kitty. She was a rescue I adopted from a shelter some seven years ago. Or rather, she adopted me! As I walked by all the cages of homeless cats, this little black and white kitten meowed atme as I walked by and pawed at me through the cage as if to say, "hey, pick me!" So I did.

Don't ask me why I named her Cookie, the reason is pretty silly haha. But my favorite quirk of hers is how she lays back and poses like this, like some super model kitty. And so fitting too, is that the markings on her belly are in the shape of a bikini!!

Doing my best to learn as much as I can on this new journey with her, and hope that she gets well again soon. Sadly, she has began to lose the strength in her back legs. Looking forward to learning and sharing the wealth of knowledge gathered here!

Welcome, Cookie is adorable. You will find lots of information here, as well as an experienced supportive community. Start by reading the info and stickies (yellow tags) at the top of the forums. You can post questions in the Main forum. Make a signature to tell about Cookie, what type of insulin, dosage, what kind of meter, etc.
