Better start this morning. Depot is finally adjusting. More alert this morning. I'm hoping she continues to have good numbers when we go to vet Thursday. I want him to see the switch to lev (without his knowledge) was a good move for her. I hope he will still do the IAA and acro test. But I think he will say it's not needed now since her insulin dose isn't as high. My only argument is that antibodies will still be present and if no other reason we know for sure she isn't and that those 2 conditions are removed from the equation. I have a long list of issues to discuss with him. One major thing is getting a dental. Don't know if she needs one or not, but I want at least one done before I'm told she's to old or to high risk to have one. I don't think my vet will be willing to do it because of the hcm and murmur. That means I have to find someone who will do it and not just because they want the money.

I hope to get my pickles planted this morning before the storm hits us later today. Yesterday I got the 2 large tomato plants in and the pickle bed turned and remediated. Will also put carrots in the pickle bed. I don't think I will get to the flowers today.

I will check condos after planting is storm doesn't knock out power. I need to charge everything before the storm. Have a good day everyone.

Work the juice Olive. Tell him to humor you with the tests so you can sleep better at night. It's your cat and your money, all he has to do is the blood draw and send it in. Neko never went above 8 or 9 u with Acro and IAA. Doodles was upto 12u with R on Lantus and quickly started coming down after the switch to Lev with 78% IAA. Olive already looks much better on Lev then Lantus even if she has had some higher days. I think you'll see her come down now that NDW is out of her system and the depot is filling.

Good luck with the vet appointment. I too asked my vet to humour me. I have yet to see a cat here get above 6 units, get the tests, and be negative for everything. Especially if they've waited long enough after starting insulin, as you have. Another argument to use, there are treatments out there, but you gotta know what you are dealing with first. Neko maxed out at 8.75 units. I've seen another at 4. The Royal Veterinary College research found some as low as 1 unit.

I went to a dental specialist for Neko with her HCM and murmur. They are more used to older kitties with issues and had a separate person monitoring the anesthesia and Doppler hookup. Some places will even provide a board certified anesthesia vet. It's good you've been told what anethesia drugs are OK.

Tomatoes are on my list today too.

Got the pickles and carrots in. Straw down. Bed turned for the potatoes. Under severe thunder and tornado warnings now. Wind getting strong. Hail being reported in some areas. News is showing pics of the pollen lifted from trees. Amazing. Got gadgets charging.
