Good morning!
AMPS 121 shooting 1.75u
Boomer finished his +3, extra food, and +9 but barely touched his +6. He woke me very briefly at +6 by calling me once; I fell right back to sleep and next felt him jump up next to me around +6.5.
Allen was fasted last night, has received his alendronate, and will be able to eat in about 1.25 hours.
Yesterday was a good day at Point Pelee...weather was perfect....warm but not too warm and no wind. Unfortunately we never seem to be able to get there early enough. The drive is over 2 hours and then because they are so busy this month we have to park quite far from the point and take a shuttle to the visitor centre then another one to the point. So even though we left home at 8:00 we didn't actually start our walk until about 11:00 and when birding it's better to be out early. What we really need to do is go the day before and spend the night but that would mean Boomer would miss 2 shots instead of one. But we may have to consider this next year. At any rate, we did see several birds that were "new" to us and I'm in the process of trying to identify them. There were lots of different kinds of warblers and photographing them can be a real challenge as they are very small and very quick!
Meanwhile, attached is a picture of a Yellow Warbler I took at Greenway Park a few days ago. I just love the look he was giving me!
