Everything was going well with Nam-kha until yesterday evening! Princess Nam-kha didn't want to eat anything when I came back from work. At first, it didn't really matter, but by 9pm, she was still refusing any food I was giving her. I opened 4 different cans of wet with no success... She wanted dry food. So.... I did not give her dry food, but when I saw that she was looking at my other cat's wet food, I gave in! She had 3 tbsp of 11% carbs wet food...

This morning, I tried to trick her. I gave her 1tbsp of the 11% carbs + 2tbsp of her regular 3%. She had some..

She's so stubborn...

They are hard to trick, these cats. How is she otherwise the stubbornness for her sister's food? It might be easier on you if you transition her sister to the same food. Then she won't feel like she is being denied some yummier food.

I didn't realize you started a OTJ trial! If you post everyday with OTJ Trail Day 3 ( for today) we can cheer you and Princess Nam-kha on to the finish line. Also, Camille and Cyclone with see it and make you an adorable OTJ video.

Since she gave you a blue start we would normally say retest in 3-4 hours to make sure she has come back down to greens. Today, her +3 or 4 is likely to still read higher since she got a little of the 11% last night and today, but maybe not. I would be careful to not indulge her to much with no insulin on board. Maybe you can find a tasty low carb topper for her food like Bonita Flakes or freeze dried chicken.

Otherwise? She's her usual annoying Now that's the weather is nice, she wants to go out 10 times a day, and because she can only go in our backyard with us, she's always asking! So she seems really well! Tomorrow we have a vet appointment to check on her. I want to weight her and to see if our vet wants to see her SS. I'm still not sure she's getting enough calories per day. I went to buy some other Weruva cans (Glam 'N Punk), higher in calories, but the same amount % of carbs (0,9%). Will she like that? We'll see... I got her some freeze dried raw food to put on it But yesterday, I was starting to freak out and I wanted her to just eat something!

The problem with my other cat (his name is Pibou), is that Nam-kha's food is really expensive. So I got him something good, low/medium carb cans, a bit less expensive.. If money wasn't an issue, I would give the same thing to both of them. I tried FF with Pibou, he hates it. Same with Nam-kha. So she has the Weruva or BFF, and he has the grain free Ultra Performatrin. But if she continues to be picky, I'll have no choice!

Do I have to use a special title for OTJ?

Oh, and Nam-kha went down to 79 at +8. I wasn't home to do a +3/4.

So tomorrow when you post, Put Nam-kha name, date, OTJ day # 4 and the AMBG's. Each day change the day #. You don't want to miss out on the sweet video that Camille does for you and we all want to cheer you and Nam-kha on! By the way, what does Nam-kha translate to in English? Love the name!

yep! Especially Nam-kha! And she eats in her nice pink cat bowl...

Ok for tomorrow! That's what I'll do!

Nam-kha is supposed to mean "blue sky" but I found that online, so not sure!

Everything is back to normal here! Nam-kha had a big bowl of her regular wet food around 5pm, and at 6.30, she was at 90. I'm sure that her blue number this morning was caused by the 11% carbs food she had last night. I will not make that mistake again.
