I just got off the phone with Gizmo’s vet. She said his bloodwork looks really good. T4 levels are still a tad bit high (4.4 & the high range end is 4.0). But given that Gizmo was due for his thyroid meds at the time of the appt, she believes that is probably the highest point of his day (said the numbers will fluctuate throughout the day). We are going to keep the dose the same and recheck in a month. Kidney values are normal. She said at this point it is unlikely that he has kidney disease!
Sugar was 77! White blood cells slightly elevated, but she wasn’t worried about it since it could be due to stress.
Ultrasound tentatively scheduled for next Thursday, May 10th. Both doctors who do the ultrasound are pretty busy, but she is going to talk to them about squeezing Gizmo in. *paws crossed* She seemed to think it wouldn’t be a problem. We will know for sure on Monday.
