This face is just one of the reasons I love being a cat mom. IMG_20180415_132208640.jpg

Sorry everyone, I haven't had a chance to post. We're looking for a house, and gone at work 12 hours a day. Proper is doing good. She still has her bouts of constipation. She refuses to eat if I put her miralax or lactulose in her food. I can't just put it in her mouth, like alot have suggested. I was told by the Vet asst that there isn't a pill stool softener for her. It's getting really difficult to keep her well.

Plain canned pumpkin?

I'm sure you already add extra water to her wet food so I don't know what else to suggest. Would it be possible to make a small volume of Miralax suspension and syringe it into her mouth?

Have you posted out in the Main forum about the constipation? I know there are a number of different meds and approaches. Maybe someone out there might have some ideas that could be helpful. There is also an entire website dedicated to the topic, but I can't remember it and when I tried a quick Google search didn't come up with it. Someone on Main will likely reference it for you though. It's a fairly common problem for kitties.

I think I can give her colace. I'm going to call the emergency vet Pepper saw a month ago and ask. Her current vets office is being no help.

I don't see any problem with that. Whatever works to get it into her seems like it would be fine to me. :)
