High numbers..

I know I’m not supposed to look at the numbers...but all this black and red is making me real nervous.

@JL and Chip my grasshoppers are starting to churn.

How long do I need to stay at one unit?

Switched from Novilin (which was a total roller coaster ride) to Prozinc on Friday. Every time I pre-test she’s high 400’s to low 500’s

PS she is looking and acting better since the switch. But when she’s high her eyes are a little glazed with large pupils.

No keytones as of now....

I would agree with Janet. While I'm not an expert with Prozinc, it does look like an increase is in order. I totally feel your pain about being around to test! I wanted to up my buddy Lou's dose late last week, but I had to work this weekend, so I'm waiting until tonight so I can test the next couple of days.

I think you could safely increase to 1.25 u tonight. You've been at a much lower ProZinc dose and there's a lot of room before she gets anywhere near intervention numbers.

This is day 4 on ProZinc so if she's still in the upper 400's or 500's tonight, it's probably ok to go up to 1.25 u. Even though it might be tempting to draw that plunger back even more, I wouldn't. She might very well end up on 2 or more units in the end, but it's so very important to get there in the right manner...slow and methodical...for her sake (especially since since you can't test mid-cycle on most days).

With food out all the time, it's always possible that she ate recently and that the numbers are food influenced. So just keep that in mind.
