It is a pretty quite day here. Nothing overly eventful. Spring is being awful right now and the dreams of green grass and pretty flowers are being washed away in a tidal wave of icy, nasty rain. Either way, the windows are open and the boys are digging that.

I came home last night to a very sleek and empty cat. Pig's bladder was down to normal and his tummy was not poofed out, which means he had some good output last night. He played with me a quite a bit and even ran from one of the house to the other a few times. This makes me happy!

I think almost everything is in line for the trip. I have an exhaustive list of items to pack and prepare, but I believe I have it all covered. I have a surplus of all medicines and medical supplies. I have bought all the extras we will need and they will arrive soon. I purchased new rounds of kennels for travel... I will post a list tonight to see if anyone can see anything I might have missed!

In the mean time, I hope all is well in the world and that all the kitties and beans have fantastic days!

Looking good Pig! :D:cool: Love to hear he's so playful.

Don't forget to pack clothes for warmer weather. :) Spring has sprung here.

Oooo... That is good to hear! I am so finished with this gloom and wet and cold. Everything is sodden and muddy and blah. I am hoping for bluer skies and warmer temps!!

He is being more sociable as well.. Like wanting to be in the same room as his brother. They even played a bit last night. Tail was just pushing his place in the house with Pig feeling under the weather and that never sat well with Pig. :p

Pigs Looking Great

Sending you some Spanish Spring, it's definitely sprung here, so much so I can't keep up with the weeds, I'm calling it a wildflower meadow:D

These are the best in my opinion! I like to just buy a box of wildflower mix and toss it out there... I live in the country and this is perfectly acceptable. It also means no weeding or mowing! :p Seriously, though, when I have time to garden and such I will always have a bed of these.. But, lately it has been paying someone else to do all this for me...

Trending downward, indeed. He is back in the greens and just chilling out there comfortably. Came home to an empty boy again and this is just amazing! Loving the way things are going with him right now and it gives me very high hopes for our trip.

I am beginning to get a bit worried about Tail, though. He is a rescue and from a very nasty situation. I got him at 4 months and as such the terrible had already left its mark. As it is, I was able to work out a great deal of his anxiety and fears, but he is still very much a one person, one situation type of kitty. I have never really been able to quell the myriad of irrational fears he has (which pop up and go away at random) and the biggest one has always been people who are not Mom. There is one person in the whole wide word other than myself that can pet Tail and whom he trusts, which is my brother. My daughter is 5 years old and I can count on 1 hand how many times Tail has allowed her to pet him. My brother will be staying with him while I am away, so I trust that he will be fine. However, I worry the stress of both Mom and Brother being gone will get him down... :(:nailbiting: I am just going to make sure that nothing but that changes. I want his everything to be exactly as it was just with us gone. I may look at stress relief for him as well..

Pig's chart is looking good these days. Glad to hear that he is so spunky and enjoying the loser numbers. The big travel day approaches. It will be a nice trip, in mostly good weather.

And I am so very, very nervous. I do not think I will relax until we have walked back through the door here at home.... I know it is the right choice, but anxiety will be what it is. However, we are in really good hands and I am very positive about the whole thing.. Just very nervous..

The trip from Austin to Ft Collins wasn't that bad. But I felt better once Leo was getting processed and then getting the SRT sessions. But the anesthesia and the sessions really wiped him out. Plus he had less insulin - to avoid hypos.

I also got pretty tired that whole week. So we both slept real well in the hotel. But Leo was so wiped out, he just never slept with me that week.

But now, 1.5 years later I'm really glad we went. I work from home. I took a 30 minute break today and took a couch nap. Little Dude slept right by me. And Leo got up on my lap. Our boys are so sweet.

And this right here is what makes all of it so very worth it..... <3
