Boy u r up earlyOK, here we go!
Boy u r up early

Oops, lolYour +2 isn’t on your SS yet but I see it in your title. That’s a big drop in 2 hours and it might be a hint as to why you saw reds yesterday. That could easily cause a big bounce. I’m glad it’s curve day! Remember to feed normally u less he gets down near 50.
It's great to have those specific signals that something is going on, isn't it?I was thinking yesterday, before he was diagnosed he still always had all the P’s they talk about on here, the only thing that was diff was he had lost about 3lbs and he pooped outside his cat box, that has always been the way he has told me somethings wrong
It's not really a rise - numbers are too close so they're basically the same.Well something just said do it, probably cause I will be gone for a cpl hours and I want to make sure we have all the info we need, wonder why the rise in that hr
Right! I forgot that you have to leave for a while today.I’m not going to do hourly, just thought I would have a couple extra, I have to leave at 10am won’t be back till like noon, so I want this to be considered a curve so we can adjust appropriately
I thought so, thank you, can I start at evening shot so it give me more time at home to see how he reacts because we are going to 1uFrom the SLGS guide:
After 1 week at a given dose perform a 12 hour curve, testing every 2 hours OR perform an 18 hour curve, testing every 3 hours:
Note: Random spot checks are often helpful to "fill in the blanks" on kitty's spreadsheet. The goal is to learn how low the current dose is dropping kitty prior to making dose adjustments.
- If nadirs are more than 150 mg/dl (8.3 mmol/L), increase the dose by 0.25 unit
- If nadirs are between 90 (5 mmol/L) and 149 mg/dl (8.2 mmol/L), maintain the same dose
Looks like you'll be increasing unless he surprises you with a drop between now and PMPS.
- If nadirs are below 90 mg/dl (5mmol/L), decrease the dose by 0.25 unit

In my opinion, yes. He's been at 0.75 u for two weeks now.I thought so, thank you, can I start at evening shot so it give me more time at home to see how he reacts because we are going to 1u
He's still high enough that you'll increase. He went back down again , these numbers have been crazy today...really weird
He's still high enough that you'll increase.[/QUOTE
Oh I know lol just making a comment of the weird day lol
A before bed test should be enough. He's been poked a lot today.Should I test more since I increased his dose this afternoon
Others have observed that a dose can lose its "mojo" after a time but it's safest to stick with SLGS given your work schedule, etc.It almost seems like the dosage does well in the beginning but the as the week progresses it’s goes down hill from there, he hadn’t had such crappy numbers in a while like he did last night, I was floored
But we have come so,so so far since being on here and following a guideline, it’s amazing, I,was just, looking at his other spreadsheet! So I’m delighted where we are and he is doing great
