First, thanks to Marie and Gracie for fixing my spreadsheet, and for those that tried to view for me and offered help. Our home curve didn't work out, so our "tiny boy" went to the vet yesterday. He had his relax med so the BG wouldn't be inflated, and Dr was very happy with his numbers. He's even gained a little weight back. He has a great appetite,is more energetic, less urine & not sucking the water down. Completely off dry food. So, we are to continue insulin dose and BG test at 6 hours Mondays & Thursdays, as well as observe him closely for any changes. My biggest hurdle is testing, we are really rotten at it. He hates us messing with his ears.

I’ve been contemplating trying Gretchen’s paws as shown on another thread here. I keep hitting the vein on the ear plus her poor ears. I’m not sure where it is but there’s a video on a thread here. I’ll go try to find where it was and if I can get it to you.

Mate! You will be rotten for a while and then suddenly it is fine. Honestly. Just keep plugging away.
I still poke right through the ear and still smack the vein.
Prior to that me and Ty had a bit of to and fro over the ear thing with my fingers getting the worst of it.

and yes.

Please breathe. That sucked in look is OK for some and may show off cheek bones but it is the pits to keeping conscious.
