Back on 300’s

Good morning/afternoon to all.
Days at the seaside seems to be over for Raffy. Last 3 days he has started to stay between 270-350’s.
As a result of this, we ve increased the dose 30u and 3u R; however his BG level is not coming down.
Sometimes i m thinking of, can it be a result of high dose?....

Hello Gurkan. So sorry Raffy seems to have lost his greens. If Raffy has acromegaly (did you ever get that tested with the new vet?), the tumour can go up and down, changing their insulin needs.

I don't see the last couple of days of data on his spreadsheet. Typically the dose changes should be about 10-15% of the total dose. If he was at 29 units, I would have tried 32 units next.

Hello Wendy, Raffy has started to make his daily WC visits
I ve been at London UK since friday , that’s way there are some missing datas on SS.
We were planning to send blood sample for Acro test, but when he has started to show blues and greens we ve cancelled it.
Do you think one day his dose can go up to 50’s?

Seeing blues and greens doesn't mean the acro has gone away, it's still worth testing. If he does test positive for acromegaly, you might want to consider trying cabergoline on him.

Good to hear he's regular on the WC. Gut issues are common with acros, some get mega colon.

Hard to say. We currently have acrocats here on doses ranging from 1 drop (you read that right!) to 59 units. That one cat on 1 drop is on cabergoline.
