Well, I had some excitement last night. My son did the 23 & Me DNA test and a 3rd cousin appears who was adopted and never knew his blood family or any history. He shares a great grandparent with me and my siblings. So, we are trying to help him figure out which side of the family he fits into and I had my mom do the spit test yesterday ( luckily DH got a kit for Christmas and hadn't used it yet) and mailed it off. If no match with my mom then we know it's my dad's family. So, I have been working on my genealogy today and cooking a bit pot of ham and bean soup. Well, you asked, LOL.Gorgeous green number there Bubba!
Any weekend plans for you, Bobbie?
And I was going to ask this morning if you had done any more. That is so cool. I really, really want my brother to do the DNA test for my dad's side of the family. So, I have been working on my genealogy today
Yes, apparently it's much more telling for the males. And I was going to ask this morning if you had done any more. That is so cool. I really, really want my brother to do the DNA test for my dad's side of the family.
Juliet, you are very welcome. As I said before, we are family here. And we help one another. I've sent Silver prayers this morning and we are rooting for him. Keep us posted.Thank you for popping into Silver's condo early this morning before any one was up for the 911. I didn't deserve your help but was grateful for it.
And thank you for this post.Oh wow that's really cool! I don't know that much about 23 & Me, how did you get his contact info to let him know that you were related? (The 3rd cousin). Sounds like a pretty productive day to me!Well, I had some excitement last night. When you do the spit test and register, you can make your results public which my son did. They go into a national data base that match this person to my son. And after we told my sister about it, she had done the spit test with 23 and me, she made her info pubic and she was a better match to him. All really cool.Oh wow that's really cool!
