Good Evening and Happy Friday,

Rusty had several bad breathing/sinus episodes today. I hope the steroid isn't wearing off (he had the Depo Medrol shot on March 22). Otherwise his appetite has been good. The very cold, windy weather continues. The fast drop in barometric pressure may be affecting Rusty. We got about an inch of snow today, but more is expected tonight from this "Alberta Clipper".

A day of chores and shopping for the beans. We are "thinking paddling"! But Ice is everywhere.

Wishing everyone a good weekend.

Upstate NY is brutal cold. Are you near the Olympic practice area? Very close to the Canadian border. Lake Placid, I think is the area. I was up there for a week, and none of my clothes were warm enough, LLBean's guarantees not withstanding. I bought more long underwear, but nothing could help my face.
When does Spring come up there?

At least Rusty is the right set of breeds to live there. ;)

Yes, that's where we are. You get used to the cold, but when it's below zero you need to cover your face with a long neckwarmer made of fleece or wool.

Rusty did not have a good day of breathing. His sinuses are very congested. I hope he'll be better tomorrow.
'night, all

Has he asthma? I ask because the cold is really bad for asthma.
Healing vines for Rusty's lungs.

No, he has chronic congestion that got worse last fall.
Rusty doesn’t go outside in winter.
Oh, Gee. I have a cat, Mikey, with a similar condition. Periodical antibiotics are of some help, but he can never quite kick it. Inhalers help, too, but it seems to be ingrained, and he's always in danger of developing pneumonia.

Delighted to hear Rusty's breathing better today.
