That is my dilemma because I'm not going to be back here until late tonight. I would rather wait and if doable give her her shot at either 8 or 9a.m. tomorrow morning.
If you aren’t going to be there, I would not shoot. She’s at a good number and it will allow us to see what she does through another cycle without insulin.

You can restart in the morning if she edges up. What is the earliest you can test her in the morning and post it for help?

Alright that's what I was thinking too because I don't want anything to happen to her while I'm gone. Okay that makes to see what her numbers will be again without insulin.
I'm going to try to test her at 8a.m. tomorrow morning and then I will post a new thread for help.

Can you possibly test any earlier so there’s time to discuss and decide? If you don’t post until 8, it could be 8:30 or so before you can shoot if she needs insulin? I’ll try to find an experienced member who can watch for you.

Okay I will definitely try to test earlier. Thank you that would be great!

Hi there. If you don't mind, I've been looking at Sugarpie's spreadsheet and have a few questions.
  • Has Sugarpie ever thrown ketones?
  • Was a fructosamine done at diagnosis or was she diagnosed based on a single blood test?
  • Was her food changed to a low carb diet since diagnosis?
We have only tested her urine once, no ketones.
We did not run a fructosamine, diagnosis was made on a single glucose, which IIRC was 659 or thereabouts.
Her food was changed after diagnosis
I will try to add her labs to her SS when I get to work tomorrow.

Angela

I couldn’t find a really experienced member who knew they would be up that early and I’m three hours behind you so I won’t be. For right now, unless she is really high (e.g. above 250), I’d recommend shooting 0.1u but it’s your decision.

If you get a number above 150 and you’ll be there to test and have supplies, you could decide to shoot 0.1u and then test at +1 and +2. Post anytime for help.

If you get a number below 150, I’d suggest that you don’t feed her but post for help. You want to be sure your subject line gets attention so perhaps try something like this:

3/30 Sugar Pie +35 132 stalling need help please

Most members with any experience can walk you through options but here is a thread to tell you about dealing with low preshots.

Any time you want to edit the subject, click on “thread tools” at the upper right corner of your first post in a thread and then select “edit title”.
