NDW (New Dose Wonkiness) - explanation here. Our term for what can happen as the depot readjusts when you first increase. Not all cats do it, some cats do it just someimes.

Nice blues. Keep on sliding down Floyd.

He might start to bounce up by PMPS time from being in blues for a bit. If he doesn't and continues to drop, stall 20 minutes without feeding and post for help. Change you title thread to say something like "Needs Dosing Advice ASAP. You did shoot a 125 on 3/21 AM cycle with a larger dose which proved too large for Floyd. So keeping that in mind, you could probably shoot something in the that range as long as you can monitor tonight, have plenty of test strips and some higher carb food / or syrup to steer if you need to .

Thank you! I'll be watching him closely and keep posting.

He bounced up to 385, so I shot the full 4.25U and onward we go!
That's what I figured would happen. Bouncing is the pits and when we need to put on our patience pants, ( mine got very tight on me, LOL ) and all we can do is let the bounce clear in 3 days to 6 cycles and hold the dose. Hopefully, his bounces will clear faster and not be as high as time goes on.

ETA: Also, keep in mind that your last reduction ( 3/21 PM cycle) was a bit too much and this dose is only on the 3rd cycle starting tonight. The depot takes about 4 cycles to stabilize. All in all he is out of the blacks!

When the BG skyrockets very fast...like he did in an hour...it’s not a bounce. It’s shorter duration.

His PMPS and +2 are within 20% of each other which indicates his BG will likely come back down and it has. When you see the numbers climb quickly but then come back down after onset, it’s another clue that his insulin was just done for that cycle.
