Hi L&LL,

I'm happy to report that Rusty is feeling so much better after his B-12 shot and steroid shot yesterday. He had a good night with comfortable-sounding breathing (hardly noticeable!), and by this morning he had eaten about half of his nighttime foods. So far this morning he has eaten about half of his breakfast, supervised the furnace repairman, hopped up onto the table and later onto his perch above the radiator. And then [fanfare]--he actually played with one of his toys with me!! (a realistic looking small tree squirrel on a string and pole that his Auntie Linda gave him a few years ago). He tracked it and pounced, and we played for a good 10 minutes. This is all heartening and I hope it will continue for a while. It looks as if I will be raising his dose to compensate for the steroid. We'll see how he does today.

Thanks to all for the vines, to Felix (@Susan&Felix ) for bringing KTSS over to treat the vetty smell, and especially for the support. bbl

So happy to hear that Rusty is feeling better! :woot::woot::woot:
I was going to mention the same thing as Elise just did. Allen is on weekly B12 shots that I give and I have Dr Larry's permission to give to Boomer as well.

Yeah Rusty!!!!!!!

:bighug::bighug::bighug: You do know I’m sure you can give B12 shots at home and as often as weekly unless your vet feels differently? I hope the shots help.
Yes, I know that. But Rusty is so skinny that I do not trust myself to shoot large amounts of anything. Much rather let the vet do it (and she can evaluate him at the same time).

Rusty hasn't eaten much of his lunch yet, but hopefully he will as the afternoon wears on. This is his typical "down time" and he is sleeping in his cube. His breathing continues to be really good.:)

Rusty continues to have good breathing and good appetite. I went back to the "pantry" to find some foods that he hasn't had in quite a while (the new batch of RAWZ turkey is definitely not a hit). I found a case of Holistic Select turkey, opened a can, and Rusty dove right in. Surprise!

This evening I went to an opening of a juried show at the Artists' Guild. A friend has 2 paintings in it. It was an excellent show and the food was delicious. Poor Edward had to miss it because of his cold.

time to turn in. Sorry to miss many condos today. Everyone enjoy the weekend. We will march with the students tomorrow at the safe from guns march in our village.
