Hi

Has anybody used this? Vet said no using coconut oil, but seems like others on here are. Vet suggested this product: https://www.amazon.com/Laxatone-2-5-oz-by-Vetoquinol/dp/B000CQWEE2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1520896398&sr=8-3&keywords=laxatone cats

Worried that some of the ingredients are cane molasses, corn syrup, and malt syrup. See strange she would recommend this for a diabetic cat.

Any thoughts?
I've never used this but did use Miralax once. Usually I try pumpkin first.

Is it for hairballs or a laxative? I use Restoralax (Miralax) laxative for my civvie, Hugo. It's super easy to add to his food. I just add a bit more water to ensure he has enough fluids.

How much are you giving? Hugo gets 1/8 tsp twice a day as maintenance. I would try a higher dose if he was still blocked. Pumpkin might make the problem worse as it's high in insoluble fiber.

He was getting in his food, but t now he's not really eating. Yesterday he got 1/4tsp 2 times. Today he'll get 1/4tsp 2 times. Tomorrow he'll get 1/2tsp 2x. I think we will need to maintanence after this.

I used Laxatone back in the 90s for a non-diabetic cat for hairballs. I would not want to use it for a diabetic since it is full of all kinds of naughty stuff.
