? Need meter help!

When Scooter was diagnosed I went straight to the pharmacy and bought a Prodigy Auto Code meter ( the pharm tech recommended it) It seemed to work fine, but beeps when the blood is drawn into the test strip. Scooter very much dislikes the beep right in his ear. I was able to borrow a Relion Prime meter to see if it beeped (it doesn't). Just to see, I tested with both meters 3 different times ( using the same blood drop). Each time the Relion was a good bit lower than the Prodigy. When I test myself with both, they are very close. I don't know which numbers are correct!!! Can anybody help!

Did it come with a manual? There must be a way to disable the beep. The first time I used my AT2, it beeped right and Avery's ear and sent her running for the hills. I turned the beep off immediately after that .

Yes, I've read the manual. It talks to you too and I got that turned off, but the beep won't turn off. My real concern is the difference in the numbers on the two meters. I don't know which number/meter is correct. I'm fine with buying a new meter, I just want to get one that will give a true reading.

If you don’t mind me asking how much different, I was using advantage pet meter but strips are very expensive so I switched to relion prime for past cpl days now

About 65-75 difference. Right now that doesn't make any difference in dosing decisions, but if/when I get Scooter closer to where he needs to be, one could be indicating he needs a shot while the other indicates he doesn't. I know a lot of people use the Relion meters. I haven't seen anyone using the Prodigy, but the pharm tech said she had a lot of people that used them. Since they were very close when I checked myself, I'm wondering if there's something about the Prodigy that doesn't work as well for cats???? The Relion is showing better numbers, so I hope it's the correct one!
