Hi Everyone,

We had snow all day with about 5 more inches of accumulation. Apparently the Nor'easter doubled back over the northern reaches. I think we are going to do the drive to NYC tomorrow. Weather forecast seems reasonable (some snow) and the roads look to be pretty good. We'll decide for sure tomorrow morning. I'm taking my new bike to try it out (not possible up here in the winter), so hopefully the streets in the city will have been cleared of the slush.

Rusty had a pretty good day. His appetite was poor this morning and his congestion was "congested". But both improved over the course of the day.

Not much else to report. We took it easy and got stuff ready for our week in the city: eye doctor; tax accountant; and, to make up for both of those appointments: Richard Strauss' Elektra at the Met--one of my absolute favorite operas.

bbl, gotta go downstairs and hold Rusty's dinner bowl.

Was in the city today, it is still pretty slushy. Hope you have some fenders on that bike!
Nope, no fenders. It's a small, folding bike (Bike Friday "Pak-it"). I'm hoping the streets will be cleared by Sunday. But then, it appears, that another Nor'easter is going to be moving up the coast on Monday. In any event, I'm leaving the bike in the city. The streets up here won't be clear of tons of sand and gravel until May.
