I have a few minutes before we need to leave.
Boomer woke us at 2:00 again last night. I let him cry a few times and then called him and he jumped right up on the bed and laid down beside me. I woke up just before 4:30 and he was still there but jumped down as soon as he heard his auto feeder turn. After he ate, he cried a couple of times in the kitchen or living room and then next time I heard him it was a wee little cry right beside my bed. Seems he now needs an invitation to sleep beside me  He jumped up and snuggled right in. He ate most of his overnight fuds; left a bit in his +8.5

Allen was fasted overnight and has a vetty appt for a check up, b/w including ionized calcium. We'll be leaving shortly for that appt.

I went to the Dr late yesterday afternoon to have my knee checked out. I waited 2 hours to see him! Turned out his son had a medical issue caused by lifting weights that were weigh too heavy for him and he tore some tissue. Anyways, there is a muscle that starts at the inside of the knee and works its way down the calf. It appears I have injured the tendon that attaches that muscle to one of the bones in my knee. Likely from exercise. I was very enthusiastic about exercise and it appears I pushed it a bit too far. The remedy is ice on it for 20 minutes 4 times a day and some stretches. He told me that resuming exercise is fine but to start a little lighter. My leg hurt like hell when I left (thanks to him poking his finger into my knee to find the source of the pain) and I walked out of the office into a blizzard. Was not happy having to hobble around my car brushing the snow off of it. Luckily I live only about a 10 minute drive from the dr....it took maybe 20 minutes last night but I was very ok with the traffic moving slowly and safely. Today it's sunny out and looks very pretty!

Almost time to leave for Dr Larry's.

We're back from Allen's vetty appt. He's lost a wee bit more weight but we knew that from weighing him at home. Dr Larry believes he may have heart disease so ordered a Cardiopet proBNP test. Ionized calcium and a wellness blood panel also ordered. We should have some of the results tomorrow hopefully. The ionized calcium takes a week and I'm not sure about the proBNP test.

And I don't know what the heck Boomer is doing these days but unless he does something unexpected today I will increase tomorrow. @Wendy&Neko maybe you can mention a dosecrease threat to Boomer as he seems to listen to you more than me.:rolleyes:

The cardiopet test should come back next day, at least it did for Leo. Sending mega vines and prayers it’s normal.

How old is your insulin? Booms work the juice buddy or mama bean is going to pull the trigger for more.

Hi Karen! The insulin is a brand new cartridge, just opened Feb 24. It is the last cartridge of the 5 that were in the package though.

Hoping your tendon heals quickly and that Allen has a good vet visit.

Hi Judy, I hope Allen's test results are normal. Sending good-results vines.
Good luck with Boomer's increase. I hope it will do the trick (and make him a happy camper at night).

Bummer on your injury. Vines for you!!
