I hope Myagi eats better for you today. How is your mom? How are you feeling? Sending prayers.
Thanks Carla :bighug::bighug: mom is quite sore but doing ok. Myagi is still only eating bare minimum. No comment me:oops::rolleyes:

+2 73, 2 drops karo paw - put some YA mature (6c) on lc and he ate a tiny amount.

+3 109 gave 3 drops karo and little kibble since had to run out and still not eating.

+6.6 119, back, little food eaten was probably Millie. I don't know what's going on with him cause he seems good all else.

Oh, what a day! Myagi diving and your mom's fall! Do you know the trick to help elderly when they fall to help them get up? Let me know if you would like for me to explain how. It really is helpful.
Yes please! I know all kinds of tricks but they don't work with mom! Hopper it's a new one! Thank you!!!:bighug::bighug:

Where is Heidi?
I've come in to check on her & cannot see her Fri 23rd condo.

You crack me up!!!:p:p:p:bighug::bighug::bighug:

I hope this one will help you. It's really hard to get someone off the floor that is dead weight and can't help you.

This method is assuming that the fall did not cause any injuries. If she is on her back, have her roll over to her belly. Find something that is stool height and put it at her head. Have her get onto her knees like she is going to crawl. Put the stool (you can use a big stack of books if you don't have a stool ) right near her hands and have her pick one of her hands up off the floor and put it on the stool, then the other hand. Get a substantial kitchen chair and put it right behind her butt. Then put another kitchen chair over the stool with her hands and have her take one hand off the stool and put on the chair and then the other hand. Now she is even more upright. Then you can go behind her and get a hold of her under her arms and lift her up and plop her right into the chair that is behind her.

I have used this method before with good success. I hope it helps you. :bighug:

Oh Bobbie, if only!!! One of the biggest hindrances to getting mom up is she can't get on her knees. She's done it in pt specifically practicing getting up from a fall, but insists she can't at home. Thank you though!:bighug::bighug: I can't lift her like I used to (she's been falling for years) so yesterday after much craziness, I had her scoot onto my lap and back pulled myself onto couch with her on me. Was brutal, but worked! Should have just called fd on medic alert but she really hates it and is so proud.

@PussCatPrince yup only mom is dead weight cause heavy and helpless. :( what kills me is if you take her to the casino, cause she can walk around for hours!

You poor thing! Just take care of yourself as you don't want to injure your back so that you can't take care of her anymore. Call 911 and they will send over a couple of strapping young men to help her up.

Agree. I should have done that with Dad but didn't know this was possible (UK) until a district nurse told me.
Yes, that's what I was referring to - she has an emergency button and fd in that context was fire department;) and yes, they are strapping and lovely and all that!!:p

Ok I've officially lost it!:smuggrin: I put 4 cans of food in front of Myagi (unopened) and told him to pick. We're wasting more food last three days than I'm willing to admit. Good news, he picked 3c ff beef and is on his 2nd teaspoon now:) bad news, that's the only can of that flavor left:confused:

Pmps 113, 0.1u, ate about tsp of dinner only.

Just to join band wagon and get off my chest - these syringes suck!! Mark's are just about anywhere. I refuse to use a caliper but this is ridiculous!:banghead::p

they are strapping and lovely and all that!!

Always call for help!! ;)
