Better than I expected and he was contained all afternoon so very little exercise - good boy! We need to transition from DM wet and dry to all low carb wet. This morning, I mixed his wet DM with Instinct wet abt 50% each but just cut back on his dry DM. Tonight I gave him 1 can FF pate and no dry yet. Where can I find the best info to transition him from the dry? Dry was his favorite and he was a free feed grazer so it may take us a while. And he is a big boy and needs to lose some of his "holiday" weight (just like his new mom).

That is a great resource - thanks. Tomorrow I will weigh him and try to get a good pic! He did eat 3/4 of his FF tonight so far - he will eat the rest but on his own time. I told him he needs to eat or he will be sharing with his new brothers and sisters.

You got a new baby! Wonderful. When I was transitioning my dry crack addicts, I crushed a little bit of the dry and sprinkled it across the top of the wet and that really helped.

Hi Bobbie - did you read my posts about Big John? We have some work to do. He is a real sweetie and is getting along well with all my other fur babies so far. He has been eating the canned pretty good but his previous owner said he prefers dry. I like your idea but I'm afraid he may not eat his wet if I do that. It's the taking away 100% of the dry that I would like to accomplish. He really is pretty cooperative for only being here 2 days.
If you remember my Andy (picture), he is doing pretty good. I have him down to 1.25 to 1.5u but any more and he will bounce, bounce, bounce. I just could not get him to stop that - I think he was born on a trampoline. I did not give up, just got tired of chasing the magic #'s when he does not want to cooperate.
