After a really disappointing day numbers wise yesterday, Gizmo shocked me with a low yellow AMPS this morning. :) Plus the last few nights, my civvie has started sleeping on my bed again (something she gave up with the arrival of the puppy). She would only sleep at the bottom, but still progress. Then last night, I woke up to her beside me again! :D All is well again ... I have been forgiven. :p
I hope these are signs of good day ahead.

That was a big drop and he is refusing to eat his LC snack. :nailbiting: We are unable to monitor all afternoon and evening, which is why I didn’t increase him last night. My mom is going to have to give him his shot tonight. I hope he snaps out of this before we have to leave. :cat:

Still refusing to eat. :(
I sprinkled freeze dried treats over his food and he ate maybe 1 tsp (usually eats 8tsp).

+5 = 164

Complete refusal to eat at +6
Threw up at +5

Maybe he has a touch of my daughter’s flu:confused:

If still refusing to eat tonight at PMPS, should I have my mom just give half a dose?

I tried to see Chubba's profile info, but could not. I am wondering if Chubba has had any pancreatitis episodes? If so, a flare-up of pancreatitis could be the problem. Those are the same symptoms TiTi has during a pancreatitis flare-up. Was the vomit colorless? If so, the lack of food could be causing more nausea. I see he's an acro kitty, so refusing food is a red flag.

I'm confused. This is Gizmo, right? But your picture title says Chubba. ???

My baby threw up yesterday all day also and refused to eat hardly anything. Must be a flu  going round for sure! I can't advise on the dosing as I'm having questions and issues with it myself. All the best tho!

Gizmo has never had pacreatitis. The vomit was brown like his amps food with a few pieces of chicken from the little bit I got him to eat at +3. Chubba is just a nickname for Gizmo.

I just went through a similar ordeal with my civvie. First, see if Gizmo will eat something besides TikiCat. I was feeding their chicken variety and my cat (also Gizmo) refused to eat it. Have there been any problems with diarrhea?

If vomiting is persisting and your kitty is refusing to eat, I'd encourage you to get him in to the vet. An ultrasound and a test for pancreatitis may help to sort out what's going on. With diabetic cats, pancreatitis is always a possibility. With my guy, the problem was a bit more involved and it ended up that he has inflammatory bowel disease. Given the acro diagnosis and the potential for tissue growth, I'd check in with your vet if Gizmo keeps refusing food.

My mom got a +9.75 and Gizmo is down to 99. He still refused to eat. I had her leave it out just in case. I know PMPS might be food influenced, but I need him to eat.

No diarrhea and he refused his favorite food also (friskies mixed grill). He’s done this before for a day and then perks back up. But I will definitely get him to the vet if this continues. The puppy goes back to the vet tomorrow ... maybe gizmo will tag along.

Well, then he's just plain nauseated, which you already knew. The question is why.

Sending vines for Gizmo. :bighug:

Refusing to eat can be from many things. At one point Neko had heart issues, GI issues, and CKD, all can lead to poor appy. And all postential issues with an acro. I would do a vet visit. You might want to talk to your vet about having some anti-nausea meds around, just in case. Cerenia, as long as he's not blocked and if vomiting, or ondansetron are good things to have in your toolkit.

When Neko wasn't eating but high, I shot closer to full dose. Feeling icky can cause high BGs.

Just got back home. Gizmo met us at the door. He is acting normal (purring and walking around the house), just won’t eat. But is at least interested in food now. So maybe soon. He is acting like he wants to eat, but just sniffs or licks and then walks away. So seems like still nauseous.

I almost had my mom shoot the whole dose, but then panicked at the last minute and told her to just to 4 units. I was to afraid knowing he wasn’t eating and I wasn’t home.

I am planning on asking the vet for some nausea meds just to have on hand. Hopefully I will be able to get some.
